A Bubinga Box: A Gorgeous Fine Woods Keepsake Box by Master Craftsman Michael Papa
A set of beautiful handmade boxes was donated by local master craftsman Michael Papa to benefit the children receiving treatment at the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital. You will see the quality craftsmanship and design and feel the warmth, luster and beauty of the wood when you hold one of these treasures in your hand.
This lid of this exquisite box is made from a beautiful reddish brown narrow straight grain bubinga from equatorial Africa. An ebony handle with a circular cutout sits atop the set-in lid. The top and bottom of the box are trimmed in walnut, with cherry front, back and sides. A gorgeous mix of natural woods, beautifully showing the unique character of each.
· Smaller keepsake box handcrafted from premium materials.
· External dimensions are about W4½” x L6” x H2½” (not including the handle)
· Signed on the bottom: M. Papa, 4-2018
